"I think Ben will fight for the title of the world. He's very quick and he has demonstrated his ability to fight in the front position and become the best satellite rider last year," said Lorenzo.
If Lorenzo was sure colleagues can be world champion, another case with Spies. He did not want too brag. Promoted to the team of the manufacturer, Spies still set a target to achieve the first victory in this 2011 season.
"You can not just jump and say we will fight to become world champion this year. It is still too early and this is just our second season," said Spies.
"We finished sixth at the end of the 2010 season, I always wanted to do an even better year in every race so I wanted to finish in the top five this year. Realistically, my goal this season is to fight to win many victories and podiums .
Regarding the condition of the team as a whole, Lorenzo said there is harmony between himself and the Spies. Spanish rider admitted, the situation now is far different from when he was a teammate with Valentino Rossi, who flee to the Ducati.
"Ben is a person full of friendship, he was serious on the track as well as I, but among us there is no problem and I do not think we will experience (divisions) in the future," said former world champion twice this 250cc class.
"Our situation is very good especially the two of us a fast rider. I think we're on the right track. So, this being a good thing for us to establish good relations, not only for us, but also to assist in developing a Yamaha motorcycle."
